Beta Presentation Update (Devlog #6)
TRICKFOOLERY! » Devlog
Long while between updates! Getting our nose to the grindstone in these final weeks of development has been hampered by our team getting sick left, right, and center. This update isn't the most exciting, but we've still got one more final push left and then the presentation at the Level Up Showcase!
Functional updates for this update:
- Fixed some issues with our teleporting enemy
- Added a functional cutscene sequence with placeholder storyboard sketches
- Added a fully-functional tutorial sequence for the dodge that uses our dialogue system
Things we worked on that didn't make it into this week's update:
- A final character model (!!!) with animations (!!!!!)
- Updated models for the shockwave and charge enemy
- Code and debugging for the shockwave enemy
- A whole bevy of sound effects, sound effect fixes, and music with full implementation that GitHub didn't take too kindly to
- Working on updating our UI with the jumbotron, dialogue portraits, and non-placeholder UI buttons
